A testimonial from a teacher who is also a student.
I hold Linda Chapman in the highest regard as an artist, a teacher, and a friend. I am proud to own several of her magnificent pieces which I use and enjoy daily. They make me smile and I am in awe of them and Linda's artistry. I have participated in several of her workshops, both in private and class settings, with adults and children. Linda is endlessly energetic, encouraging, sincere, caring, and happy to share her talent with others. She inspires her students to reach within and express themselves while having fun. It is amazing to be part of the process of feeling the clay, throwing a pot, designing, glazing, and finally, the excitement of putting the piece into the kiln! We all felt pride in our work and gained confidence in ourselves. Workshops always included information about the history of the technique which led to interesting discussion and gave rich meaning to our end product. I cherish Linda's dear friendship; she is a true inspiration. Pam Madden, educator

I have been an admirer of Linda's art for many years. Her pottery is breathtakingly exquisite. Linda's sensitivity for marrying just the right rhythmic organic designs onto her beautifully thrown vessels is unsurpassed. It was such a pleasure to meet Linda on our island home of Kauai and attend some of her mask making workshops at her home studio. She generously shared her techniques, helping her students stretch their imaginations and spread their creativity wings. Working under her supportive and encouraging guidance, I took away a new appreciation for the magic of working with clay. Linda is an inspiration to all artists and those who appreciate the arts as well. If you ever have an opportunity to see her art, don't miss it! And if you are lucky enough to bring one of her pieces home, it is a gift that you will cherish for years to come! Thank you Linda for sharing yourself and your art with all of us.
